August 3, 1999 The meeting of the Planning Commission of Franklin Township, held in the Township office, was called to order at 2000 hours. Present were Dwight Miller, Ralph Breiding and Mike Pontore. MINUTES Pontore moved to accept the minutes of 7/6/99 as presented. Miller seconded. Carried. VISITORS No visitors. OLD BUSINESS Dennis Howard Mylar - Mr. Howard's surveyor made the revisions asked for by the Planning Commission last month. The Mylar shows a 10-acre parcel with 562 ft. of frontage on Route 98 being subdivided off a parcel that will retain 52.79 acres with 884.14 ft. of frontage on Falls Road. The property is on the corner of Falls Road and Route 98. Pontore moved to accept the Dennis Howard Mylar as presented. Miller seconded. Carried. Mylar was signed. Robert and Joyce Berry Mylar - the Berry's, 7101 New Road, are subdividing a 10-acre parcel for their son. It will have 521.68 ft. of frontage on New road. The parent parcel will retain 438.32 ft. of frontage and 8.4 acres. Pontore moved to accept the Berry Mylar as presented. Miller seconded. Carried. Mylar was signed. Adopt New Erie County Subdivision Ordinance - members present commented that they had read the ordinance and saw nothing in it that would prevent them from giving their recommendation for adoption to the Supervisors. NEW BUSINESS Amendment to Zoning Ordinance/Front Set Back - the Zoning Ordinance is worded that the front yard set back is 75 feet from the center of the road. Some road right-of-ways vary along Route 98. With that variation in mind, Miller moved to recommend the adoption of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance that the front yard set back shall be 50 feet from the road right-of-way.
