The meeting of the Planning Commission of Franklin Township, held in the 
Township office, was called to order at 1903 hours.  Present were Hugh Crandall, 
Joe Szymanowicz, David Knight, Rose Gebhardt, Darlene Salhoff, Elizabeth 
Hoffman and Trapper Sturgeon.

VISITORS/PUBLIC COMMENT
No comments.

MINUTES
Crandall moved to approve the minutes of 5/1/07 as presented.  Szymanowicz 
seconded.  Carried.

NEW BUSINESS
Rose Gebhardt Sketch Plans – Mrs. Gebhardt presented several sketch plans 
for subdividing the property at 10491 Route 98.  The parcel has an existing 
house and garage with 21 acres.  Discussion was held on various options for 
subdivision.

Szymanowicz – if you make the lot/lots less than 10 acres, the base acre with the 
house increases in assessed value to around $20,000.

Gebhardt – the County wants to purchase the land but I want to review my 
options.  They would like the sketch with the right-of-way to the rear acreage.  
They do not want the whole parcel.  The County has said that they want to put an 
indoor shooting range on the land at the rear.  I want to keep my options open 
until I have a buyer and then will subdivide to their wishes.  Mrs. Gebhardt left 
the meeting at 1925 hours.

Darlene Salhoff Mylar – Mrs. Salhoff is subdividing her property at 11513 
Silverthorn Road.  The parcel is 5.076 acres with 1036 ft. of frontage by 194.5 ft. 
deep.  Lot 1 would have 2.612 acres with 585 ft. of frontage.  The residue with 
existing mobile home would have 2.464 acres with 551 ft. of frontage.  Lot 1 has 
been approved for septic.  After review, Knight moved to accept the Salhoff Mylar 
as presented.  Szymanowicz seconded.  Carried.  Mylar was signed.

Mrs. Salhoff, Elizabeth Hoffman and Trapper Sturgeon left the meeting at 
1955 hours.

Discussion was held on taxes and tax reform.
