October 27, 1993 The meeting of the Supervisors of Franklin Township for their fall road inspection was called to order at 0900 hours. Present were Herbert Netzler, Benjamin Sitek and David Henderson. The Supervisors left the Township building at 0900 hours. They returned at 1125 hours. Building Permit Fee - discussion on the cost of building permits. Dave said that we went to a flat fee because of the minimal work involved on our part. The inspector does the same amount of work no matter what the size of the structure or addition. The idea isn't to make money, we get our money from real estate taxes. Workers Compensation Insurance - Herb said he got a letter from Labor and Industry which says the Amish are exempt from comp. coverage for religious purposes. ROAD INSPECTION Discussion on fixing the water hole at Falls and Francis. Netzler - if we see a problem at a residence and call attention to it, do we have to take action to remedy the situation. I'm thinking of the water running onto the road at Mischler's, Aldrich's and Sult's and the cement drive at the other Aldrich property. Sitek - a lot of areas, weather permitting, need touched up with ditching. Henderson - I have a list of trouble spots. It will soon be time to change the equipment over for snow. I planned on readying one truck for snow and leaving the other until Thanksgiving. ADJOURN Sitek moved to adjourn, Netzler seconded. Meeting adjourned at 1135 hours. Bonnie J. Bernhardt, Secretary
