October 7, 1994 The special meeting of the Supervisors of Franklin Township to consider the purchase of a boom mower, held in the Township office, was called to order by Chairman Benjamin Sitek at 0900 hours. Present were Sitek, David Henderson, Herbert Netzler and representatives from Seigworth Road Supply and Walsh Equipment. Both companies demonstrated their respective machines on a Township road. Herbert Netzler returned to the building at 1030 hours, left a sealed vote and left the meeting. Sitek and Henderson returned to the building at 1100 hours. Henderson moved to accept the bid for a Tiger mower from Walsh Equipment as bid with ditcher and to accept Dollar Bank's lease for financing, instructing the Secretary to complete all necessary paperwork for the purchase and lease. Also to authorize the Supervisors to sign all necessary documents and to make application to Capital Projects Loan Fund authorizing the Secretary to complete all necessary documents and authorizing the Supervisors to sign all necessary documents. Sitek seconded. Carried. Vote: Henderson, yes; Sitek, yes; Netzler, yes. In his sealed vote, Netzler commented that he voted for the Tiger for the stability and the round wheel on the cutters. Adding that he thought the Ford and it's mower are great but it has some updating to do. Weiss Driveway Pipe Gravel - Dave commented that we can add a second load of gravel if they pay another $35. We never go beyond the road right-of-way with gravel. Sitek - if they need a second load to provide additional coverage, it's another $35. Henderson moved that if a property owner needs more gravel to cover a newly installed driveway pipe, they will have to pay an additional $35 fee. Sitek seconded. Carried. Elk Creek Twp. Plow - Henderson moved to trade the Frink plow from P & S to Elk Creek Twp. in exchange for their grader plow that we've been using. Netzler seconded. Carried. (This motion was made during the mower demonstration.) Henderson - we need to negotiate with Ted on the price of the Frink plow. It's bigger but has been welded on all four corners. It's not worth $1,000. Henderson moved to try to negotiate the price for the Frink plow owned by P & S to $800. Sitek seconded. Carried. ADJOURN Sitek called the meeting adjourned at 1123 hours.
