November 13, 2000 The budget meeting of the Supervisors of Franklin Township, held in the Township office, was called to order by Chairman John Sachar at 0826 hours. Present were Sachar, Denver Ireland and David Henderson. REVENUES Discussion on the revenue side of the budget. Henderson - EIT is taking wild gyrations. Sometimes the year-end money comes in at the end of the year and sometimes at the first of the following year. Sachar - will we be considering a salt building for next year? Henderson - yes, it should be all wood construction, no steel with a wood roof, OSB with shingles. We could hire the roof and poles done and do the walls ourselves. Morton Buildings recommended an asphalt floor. It would need to be 50'x80' to cover our pile. Sachar moved to approve the tentative revenue side of the 2001 budget. Henderson seconded. Carried. Sachar - are we considering graveling next year? Henderson - no, we can't have a building and gravel too. A pole building kit, no tax or labor, is $25,000. That is with an 18-foot eave height interior. We may be able to trim that price down a little. Discussion. Sachar - can we afford to go two years without graveling? Ireland - I can't see how out of a $250,000 budget, we don't do any graveling. We're buying everything but we're not graveling. ADJOURN Sachar called the meeting adjourned at 0834 hours. Bonnie J.
